Elixir HDH plant in Prahovo – from a blank sheet of paper to a fully commissioned system in just four months.
Voltec d.o.o. manufactured and delivered Siemens SIVACON S8 withdrawable switchboards for its parent company, Log Design d.o.o.
For the new Elixir HDH plant in Prahovo, the journey from concept to commissioning of two transformer substations (6x2500 kVA and 2x2500 kVA) was completed in only four months.
Starting from a digital twin of the transformer substations, we used an integrated digital engineering workflow combining Autodesk Revit and the Siemens engineering suite — SIMARIS Design, SIMARIS Curves, SIMARIS Busbarplan and SIMARIS Project — together with the Siemens SIVACON S8 SCF Configurator.
Within this timeframe, we did not only complete the design phase.
We also manufactured, delivered and commissioned eight MCC units consisting of a total of 130 SIVACON S8 panels, fully integrated into the BIM model and coordinated through a digital workflow.
From architectural base designs and SIMARIS Project concepts, through precise equipment definition, calculations and selectivity studies, all the way to manufacturing and commissioning — everything was aligned through a single digital process.
A strong demonstration of how digital engineering can turn an idea on paper into a fully operational industrial power distribution system in record time.
